A French Riviera wedding offers the best of European luxury! With a stunning coastline famous for yachting, glamorous cities, and some of the most elegant resorts and venues, it’s ideal for couples seeking an iconic wedding destination where only the best will do.
Located in the southeast of France, this glamorous region sparkles in summer, with turquoise beaches, gourmet alfresco dining, and designer shopping — the French Riviera was historically a summer playground for royalty and nobility, but it’s still renowned as one of the most luxurious beach destinations in Europe.
If the glamor of the Côte d'Azur is calling your name, here are the best French Riviera wedding venues that offer five-star service, classic elegance, and a luxurious experience for you and your guests.
1. Castel Bay, @castel_bay
Castel Bay is one of the most impressive luxury wedding venues in the French Riviera. Built in the 1900s as a vacation home for a noble family, it underwent a major renovation recently and is now a gorgeous wedding venue, positioned on the seafront.
Select from any of their gorgeous spaces, including the Mediterranean Garden for a welcome drink or the spacious Amphitheatre for your ceremony. With lush green lawns, ornate columns and bay windows, plus the spectacular ocean views, your Castel Bay wedding photography will be so elegant and timeless.
2. Le Negresco, @hotel_lenegresco
This grand hotel, opened in 1913, is one of the most stylish wedding venues in Nice, France. Le Negresco weddings can suit any size party, from the ornate red-panelled Louis XVI Reception Room, which can host up to 36 for dinner, or the grand Royal Reception Room, a chic white and cream ballroom that can seat 430 guests.
With a renowned art collection, tropical gardens, and prime beachfront real estate, this resort has long been a favorite of celebrities like Salvador Dali and the Beatles, ideal for anyone seeking a luxurious resort wedding venue.
3. Hotel du Cap Eden-Rock, @hotelducapedenroc
A Napoleonic-style mansion built in 1870, Hotel du Cap Eden-Rock is one of the most glamorous destination wedding venues in the French Riviera. The Grande Allee, an outdoor ceremony location facing the sea, is the dreamiest place to say your vows before a waterfront cocktail at the Champagne Lounge.
Then, choose from several timeless ballrooms or terraces for your reception. As one of the most iconic hotels in the region, if not in all of France, the experience will be seamless and perfect for your guests. Before the big day, enjoy a spa treatment with your bridal party, or let the concierge charter you a private yacht for a day of fun on the water — what an adventure!
4. Royal Riviera, @royalriviera
The Royal Riviera opened in the early 1900s, designed in the style of an ancient Greek villa. It has such a serene, welcoming style, with the amenities of a five-star hotel. Garden ceremonies, in the stunning, light-filled spaces, are popular here, followed by a romantic reception. This venue can suit up to 130 guests for a seated dinner.
You and your guests will love staying here, with a gorgeous pool and beach just steps away, impeccable service, and a relaxing spa on site where you can enjoy some pampering before the big day.
And if you’re searching for wedding venues in Cannes, the Royal Riviera is less than an hour away.
5. La Chevre d’Or, @lachevredor
La Chevre d’Or is one of my top choices for a French Riviera chateau wedding. The spectacular Rose Garden space can host up to 80 guests, so this venue is well suited for a smaller celebration.
It’s also a delight for those who enjoy French cuisine, as Chevre d’Or is home to a two-starred Michelin restaurant, which you can hire out for your reception, or plan a private welcome lunch to treat your guests on arrival.
Your Chevre d’Or wedding photos will have such a romantic, ethereal vibe–imagine vibrant ivy and flowers hanging from ancient stone archways, beautiful fountains and waterfalls, and dramatic cliffside views of the sea below.
6. Domaine de Canaille, @domainedecanaille
Domaine de Canaille is a classic chateau, recently remodeled in a beautiful, contemporary style. With a prime position within Calanques National Park, this is one of the most scenic French Riviera villa wedding venues.
With 12 rooms, you can rent the chateau for private use, with the capacity for up to 100 guests. However, this space would be perfect for an intimate wedding, as you could say your vows on the beach, then dine and dance the night away by the pool and courtyard. The owners can help with arranging lots of special extra touches, including a private chef or electric bike tours of the area.
7. Bastide du Roy, @bastideduroy
Dating back to 1608, Bastide du Roy is such a great choice for a historic wedding in Cote d’Azur. Originally owned by royalty, this chateau is known for its lush gardens. Adorned with historic sculptures, fountains, and charming decor, the Music, Spanish, and French gardens are all serene spaces for your outdoor ceremony and reception.
For your Bastide du Roy wedding photography, we can take magical, airy garden shots. The venue’s huge swimming pool, with an entertaining deck, and the large olive tree grove also make for stunning locations for your wedding portraits.
8. Four Seasons du Cap-Ferrat, @fscapferrat
The beloved Four Seasons brand needs no introduction, but their Cap-Ferrat resort is one of their most impressive. Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel is a grand hotel across 17 acres.
An impressive white mansion, surrounded by manicured gardens, there are several indoor and outdoor spaces to celebrate here. Club Dauphin, considered one of the Riveriera’s most beautiful pools, is a stylish terrace for a pre-dinner glass of wine after a beautiful vow exchange in the Gardens. Adorned in florals and gorgeous linens, the attention to detail at your Cap-Ferrat Four Seasons wedding will be second to none.
